About the event

A first reading of a brand-new radio play, set in Cornwall and written by Julia Schofield. Hi-flyer Lisa and 12 year old Hannabeth uproot and downsize from city life, aiming to find some sort of belated mother/daughter bond in Cornwall. They plan to help Uncle Colin run his lovely new restaurant in a remote fishing village struggling with cost-of-living crises and fuel scares. Lisa is burnt-out from endless campaigning projects back in London but is reluctantly made to face yet another campaign when Hannabeth enters the Raggle Rock Swim, falling foul of Flow South West and some very filthy goings-on.


The Raggle Rock Swim is tender, funny and angry by turn with contemporary environmental relevance.
