Fun Palaces - Maker's Workshop

Helston Old Chapel

10am 13th September 2024

Culture belongs to us all ✊
Do you…
Live in Cornwall?
Believe we all have a right to culture?
Care about your community?

Join our free workshop to find out how you can make your own Fun Palace event.

Where everyone is an artist and everyone a scientist.

A Fun Palace is a free, local event where people share their skills, talents and interests with others in the local community. Over the last 10 years, almost 50,000 people have organised over 2,500 Fun Palace events attended by over 800,000 people. Folk shared what they love with their neighbours - whether that’s art, science, sports, technology, history, crafts and more.

Helston Old CHapel is hosting a Fun Palaces workshop on Friday 13th of September where people interested in making a Fun Palace event can meet. Whether you are a Fun Palace dab hand, a novice but interested maker, or never heard of us but are curious, come along!

This workshop is for you if you:
- Have never organised before and want to start.
- Have made loads of Fun Palace events.
- You are an organisation that wants to engage with your local community.
- Want to connect with like-minded folk in your area.
- Are just curious about Fun Palaces!

“We loved meeting so many other creatives within our area and realising that we can do whatever we want - the world's our oyster!”
