5x Creative Workshop Designers & Leaders
LGBTQIA+ Community Focus

Trevow Helston is seeking enthusiastic facilitators to deliver 5 creative workshops as part of our Actively Safe Space Manifesto development.

 

About This Opportunity

We're developing an evolving Actively Safe Space Manifesto for our space that we hope will serve as a blueprint for other spaces locally and nationally. These workshops will help us understand what our manifesto needs to include to work towards creating a safer space for the LGBTQIA+ community.

 

Workshop Requirements

Location: Our new space in Helston in a former chapel

Community Focus: Workshops must be designed for:

All or a portion of the LGBTQIA+ community

Dedicated ally events supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals

Creative Focus: We're open to all creative possibilities - from arts and crafts to digital media, performance, writing, music, zines +

Timeline: All workshops must be completed by the end of September

 

What We Offer

£200 planning day fee

£200 delivery fee

£100 materials budget

Local travel costs covered

Workshops provided free to participants

Support from our team and basics covered (event insurance, marketing costs, space hire etc)

Who We're Looking For

Experience facilitating creative workshops

Understanding of trauma-informed approaches

Commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces

LGBTQIA+ identifying facilitators welcomed

Individuals who do not identify as LGBTQIA+ must demonstrate strong personal connection to the community

​

Application Focus

We particularly welcome applications that clearly demonstrate an impact on a genuine need in the LGBTQIA+ community, positively impact LGBTQIA+ participants, and explore new creative approaches.
