A special night of music celebrating Kernewek (the Cornish language) through the voices of three Cornish songwriters. An unmissable evening for anyone passionate about Cornwall's living language and its vibrant revival.
Karenza Lily-May is a young musician from Padstow playing a mixture of Celtic, Cornish and contemporary folk tunes. Performing on accordion and guitar with rhythmic stomp box accompaniment, she sings stories of people, land and sea — both familiar favourites and her own original compositions. A rising talent on the Cornish folk scene, she has performed at Cornwall Folk Festival and Lowender Peran.
Elizabeth Freeborn is a Cornish-born singer-songwriter whose ethereal voice and angelic tones transport audiences to realms of enchantment.
