About the event

//WET LAND//WET WORDS//WET WORK// A free workshop for the LGBTQIA+ community led by artist, Indigo Wills "Cornwall is a landscape comprised of damp. Noticeably soaked and salt washed. The wetness is boundless. The wet land is queer." ~ Workshop facilitator, Indigo Wills Through writing and zine making, we will unearth our own relationships to the wetness of the local landscape. This exploration of wetness will become a way to explore our community’s resistance to the inherent heteronormativity of the dry. Writing will be treated as an experimental, judgment free and inclusive tool.


After the workshop the zines will be collated into a ‘mother’ zine where all our shared writings will exist as a collective form of self-publishing. Creating a pocket-sized reminder for the local queer community that rural spaces are wet, queer and where we belong.
